RefCalc — Setup
RefCalc step 1 — Setup. Pick refrigerant and job context before gauges or coil data.
- Choose the working refrigerant for this diagnostic.
- Set ASHRAE climate zone for ambient context on air/oil status.
- Optional system tons enables mass-flow estimates later.
- Optional discharge line temp (≈ 6 in. from compressor outlet) enables estimated oil temperature on Air and oil. Unit follows °F/°C toggle.
- Unit toggles on this step: °F / °C and PSIG / PSIA / kPa (kPa is gauge). Same choices live in Settings. Full guide: Temperature & pressure units.
