HVAC Lens is a field-tool app (website, installable PWA, and Android Trusted Web Activity) from Peter’s HVAC Advisory in Calgary, Alberta. These terms apply to HVAC Lens only.
By creating an account, getting free beta access, or using the app, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
A limited number of free beta spots (see the live counter on the site) are issued first-come, first-served. When spots are full, new access is closed until beta is finished. There is no paid purchase during this beta. After beta, access is a $19.99 CAD one-time purchase. Beta access does not expire and includes updates to the app.
Each account may be used on up to 10 devices. Remove unused devices in Settings. If you are signed in and over the limit on a new browser, use Manage devices. If you cannot reach a registered device (lost phone, cleared browser), email petershvacadvisory@gmail.com from the account email and we can clear a slot.
Do not share your account password or unlock key. HVAC Lens is for qualified HVAC and refrigeration professionals and serious students of the trade.
The refrigeration calculators, psychrometric tools, electrical references, and technical data are for field reference only.
The Electrical calculators — including Ohm’s Law, power conversion, voltage-drop estimates, MCA/MOP suggestions, and any displayed wire size — are field-reference and educational aids only. They are not professional engineering advice, not a design service, and not a substitute for the current Canadian Electrical Code (CEC / CSA C22.1), the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEC or other local regulations, manufacturer instructions, sealed drawings, or a permit.
Final conductor selection, overcurrent-device selection, and installation design must be performed by a person licensed to do that work — a licensed electrician and/or a professional engineer — as required by the applicable statute, regulation, and authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
These tools use simplified tables and assumptions. They do not implement the full CEC (or equivalent). Results must be independently verified against the current Code, the equipment nameplate, and the AHJ before any material is ordered or installed.
You agree not to share credentials, bypass license or device limits, use the app for illegal or unsafe work, or scrape large amounts of technical data.
Site HTML and JavaScript are released as open source. You may use, modify, and distribute the code. HVAC Lens branding, written explanations, and original content remain copyright of Peter’s HVAC Advisory.
The app is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for incorrect calculations, equipment damage, failed inspections, or safety incidents.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
